Jeffrey M. Bell

President & Chief Executive Officer 

 
 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Bell has over thirty (30) years of experience as a real estate and financial services executive and has held numerous prestigious positions throughout his career.  He currently serves as the President, CEO and Founder of United General Mortgage Corp. as well as CEO and President of CLS Mortgage, Inc. and CLS Escrow Inc. In addition, Mr. Bell currently serves as the Managing Director of Real Estate Income Strategies at Westwind Investors. Westwind is a private equity firm specializing in transactions ranging from $5M to $150M.  Mr. Bell also served as President, CEO and Chairman of Opportunity Management Company, Inc. (a REIT). During this time he took the company through the NASD approval process which elevated the company from the status of non-trading REIT to publicly traded REIT.  In addition to managerial experience, Mr. Bell also has sufficient sales and marketing experience through his tenure at Temple-Inland Mortgage Corp and Capital Mortgage Bankers, Inc where he served as Executive Vice President. Mr. Bell is a graduate of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill (1986). 

 
 

Doug Greybill         

Vice President/Director of   Underwriting & Portfolio Management

 
 

 

Mr. Greybill serves as Vice President/Director of Underwriting & Portfolio Management and has over thirty (30) years of experience as a real estate and financial executive. Prior to CLS he served as Chief Credit Officer for Willamette Savings & Loan. Mr. Greybill also served as Vice President of Underwriting & Servicing at Genesis Financial where he managed all aspects of underwriting and portfolio performance. In addition he was Vice President of Capital Markets for Metropolitan Mortgage & Securities. Here he was responsible for the structure, analysis and purchasing of over $20 million dollars per month in notes. Doug is a graduate of the University of Oregon.

 

William Slaughter    

Director Capital Markets

 

 

 

Bill Slaughter has a 17 year mortgage and finance background.  During his 13 years in the mortgage industry he held positions as a retail loan officer, wholesale account executive, branch manager, and has owned his own brokerage firm. In 2008, Bill became a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley.  While at Morgan Stanley Bill earned his FINRA series 7, 66 & 31 licenses and became certified as an Alternative Investment Advisor.  In 2010, Bill became a senior partner with Beneteau Capital Management, LLC, a privately owned proprietary trading firm specializing in syndicate trading and capital raising events.  Bill earned his B.S. in Economics from the University of Delaware.

 

 

Rick Bell

Rick Bell brings 25 years of mortgage experience to CLS. He started his first position as a loan originator for Capitol Mortgage Bankers which he held for two years. He continued his career for the following six years with Temple Inland Mortgage Corporation with his primary focus on providing construction financing to developers and builders. Rick moved on and accepted the position of Vice President of Capitol Mortgage Bankers and was responsible for overseeing all functions of the Builder Division. In 2000, Rick founded US Mortgage Finance Corp (USMFC) and held the position of President and CEO for eleven years. USMFC was an approved lender for all FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC products and offered these products on both a retail and wholesale platform. During his time with USMFC he also achieved his underwriting authority with FHA and VA, and delegated underwriting authority for all of USMFC's primary investors. Rick recently accepted the job of Director of Capital Markets for CLS.

 

 

 

Mandy Reilly                

 

Controller & DEO

 

 

 

 

Ms. Reilly currently serves as the controller for CLS Mortgage and CLS Escrow and is also the Designated Escrow Officer, licensed with the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions. In addition, her comprehensive knowledge of corporate systems, policies, and procedures has escalated her in the management of all accounting, escrow, human resources, and IT departments. She has served as Secretary for Opportunity Management Company Inc. and assisted during their NASD approval process. Ms. Reilly joined CLS in 2003, after graduating from Eastern Washington University with bachelor’s degree in business administration for professional accounting.

 

 Tara M Azaroff

Ms. Azaroff has over 15 years experience in Real Estate, Automotive and Business finance and currently serves as Director of Business Development for CLS. Prior to joining CLS she served as Managing Partner for Capital Funding NW and previously Co-Founded Business Funding Corporation acting as Managing Partner; completed state filings, operations, brand standard, market planning, B2B relations, process flow and education.  Ms. Azaroff served as CEO and Dealer Principal for Sport & Luxury Automotive, Inc. bringing S&L Auto to be the only non-franchise store in Georgia to contract lease agreements on behalf of Bank One’s primary division without recourse and producing an unprecedented zero repo rate for 36 months with Bank ones secondary division and brought the company to a $3.5M gross revenue the second year in business. Ms. Azaroff was recruited by Bent Creek Country Club and the IRC International/Rio Bravo. In IRC International’s case, Ms. Azaroff coached Applebee International Regional Management Teams and saw the brand through a valuation by the NYSE for the sale and then acquisition of the “Rio Bravo”. Ms Azaroff has extensive management, marketing, advertising, sales and concept/branding experience. Ms. Azaroff’s focus is International Commercial, Project and Business Finance. I seek to provide a product line which would consist of and would not be limited to Equity, Debt, Mezzanine and Private funding which will satisfy the current needs in the US and International markets today.

 

Jay King

Jay King has over 23 years of experience in real estate finance. He has experience in origination, processing, underwriting, and secondary marketing while in different positions including loan officer, branch manager, executive vice president for a large national company, and owner of his own mortgage company. Jay is a graduate of the University of Texas– Austin (1988) with a BBA in Finance. Jay is known for his ability to bring people together and quickly analyze and understand various projects and businesses. His experience varies across several industries including healthcare, energy, agricultural, multifamily and small business. Even though based in Colorado, Jay often travels coast to coast to meet with clients and be at project sites.  Jay will quickly and efficiently package and present your loan to our loan committee so you can achieve your goals whether its debt, equity, or bridge financing.

 

 

Steve Brazington

Steve is a senior loan officer with extensive experience in structuring financial transactions for a wide variety of property types. These include 1-4 family owner occupied (Section 32), non-owner occupied, commercial, ag/farm, investment, land, and manufactured home loans. Steve specializes in private money loans and has orchestrated over 325 hard money transactions during his 20-year tenure with CLS. A lifetime resident of the Northwest, Steve’s knowledge of the major, tertiary, and rural markets adds to his ability to serve the unique lending needs of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
